FIVE lucky schools are set to send 10 pupils each to participate in a meeting with US First Lady Michelle Obama at UCT tomorrow.
"The students are very excited about the idea of meeting Mrs Obama," John Gilmoure, principal and founder of LEAP Science and Maths School, said.
"They have spent quite some time thinking about what kinds of questions they are going to ask her."
Obama invited pupils from Cape Town area schools located in historically disadvantaged communities to participate in a day-long "immersion experience" at UCT.
"It's an honour for our 10 pupils to meet Mrs Obama," Riyaadh Najaar, principal of Spine Road Secondary School, said. …
