Fed: McMullan backs Crean, but sees post-budget period critical
Labor's Treasury spokesman BOB MCMULLAN says he backs SIMON CREAN as Labor leader,but the period after the Budget is critical for him.
Mr MCMULLAN says he doesn't want to discuss Labor's leadership tensions, which weremagnified today by former leader KIM BEAZLEY'S interview in The Bulletin.
Mr MCMULLAN says the Budget and the period immediately after is critical, because that'swhen the agenda will focus back on domestic issues.
He says that will be a window of opportunity for Labor to focus on issues that affectpeople's everyday lives.
